Erin go Braugh! Ireland for everyone... well at least for today! Happy St. Patrick’s Day. We were presented with a little Irish weather, minus the rain.

Big week here at Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta, last night we celebrated our St. Patty’s Day early with an event for the homeowners. We had over 40 people attend the event. Today is the Annual Callahan St. Patty’s Day Tournament. Homeowners Jim Callahan and Dave Bolles are entertaining over 60 of their friends from around the country, with a large majority of them coming from the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota.

The Ladies are starting their President’s Cup Event this week, while the Men’s Club is just finishing up. Chuck Farrell is working on his own Grand Slam, he won the Men’s Club Championship at Indian Palms and now has one at the Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta Men’s Club Presidents Cup. His match with Bill Beeghley went down to the wire. Lee Kaplan defeated Wayne Bowman in the B Flight with the remaining C Flight winner to be determined by the Match of Rick Jorski vs Curt Blount.

Thursday, March 19th, 2008, will be our Buckaroo Bash event. There are only a few spots left, so I would suggest calling and making your reservations now. This $24.95 per person western BBQ will include a country western DJ and line dancing, plus you get to see Brandon in his western garb.

Both seatings for the Easter Brunch are almost full. Please contact Azul Restaurant to book your family’s reservation. Our seatings are at 10:00 am and 12 Noon Pricing options are Champagne and Mimosa refills $34.95, Brunch only $27.95, kids 4-12 at ½ price, Kids under 4 are free. Check out Azulattrilogy.com to see the full menu and pricing.

We will again offer a Sunday Brunch on March 30th, 2008. I would suggest getting your reservations in today because we had over 90 reservations at the last Sunday brunch.

On Friday we had a Celebrity sighting, Andrew Buckley, better known as the CFO of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company (David Wallace from the hit NBC Show The Office).

On the Anthony Kim watch, Anthony showed why he is one of the up and coming young professionals on tour. Rounds of 68-68-69-69 left him in a tie for 4th place at the European Tour Ballistine Open in Korea. Anthony only had one double bogey and one bogey in his 4 rounds of golf! He won over $100,000 in U.S. funds. He will be back on the US PGA Tour in Houston to play in the Shell Houston Open. The one thing that he is still disappointed in is his putting; subsequently his scores are not reflective of how well he is striking the ball. He is being patient with this process and looks forward to some really exciting rounds to come.

March Madness has hit, but I don’t get all the excitement this year. The tournament is never as good was when the Montana Grizzlies get their 15 or 12 seed. Two years ago they knocked off a highly touted Nevada team with an impressive win. Ok, ok... I'll be in the here and now. Being a fan of the John Wooden Bruins of yesteryear, I still have a soft spot for the UCLA Bruins. Being Southern California, we get all we want when it comes to information on the Bruins. Coach Ben Howland has this rugged, tough nosed team playing some really good defense. Defense is what wins at tournament time.

Just for laughs I am listing my bracket picks for March Madness. I would love to have comments on my picks! Check them out here.

I am just about to get to our website to update some exciting specials for the next week. Check out our upcoming specials for March, lots of great golf, golf balls and lunches! Don’t miss out. www.Trilogygolfclub.com/laquinta

Until next week, keep rolling the rock!
