What can I say about the weather last week! We are hard pressed to get better weather this time of year. The tee sheet showed evidence of the mild temperatures. We averaged about 40 walk-ins each day. Once people noticed that temperatures were not going to get over the 95/100 range, they came out to have a great day of golf.

The aeration of the greens came out great. I played on Sunday afternoon and the greens were just a tiny bit slow because we were playing late in the day, but they rolled smooth.

After playing Sunday, I want to say that we have some people who need to enroll in our “Stretch for 3 program.” This is a new fitness system that is designed to encourage each golfer to stretch prior to, and after putting. By stretching to fix 3 ball marks you are guaranteeing increased flexibility and greater distance off your drives. I am not sure if the issue was that people needed glasses (not being able to see the large ball marks), or the fact that they were unable to bend over and fix their marks.

Chef Roy has a full slate of activities set up for this June in the Azul Restaurant. This Friday night, we will have an all-you-can-eat Pizza and Salad Buffet; and on Saturday, Azul Restaurant is having a cookout from 5 to 7 pm.

On the Anthony Kim watch, Anthony plans to come to the desert and prepare for the US Open at Torrey Pines in La Jolla. Anthony has fond memories of Torrey Pines, having won the Junior World Championships there.

Check out our upcoming specials for May, lots of great golf, golf balls and lunches! Don’t miss out- www.TrilogyGolfClub.com/laquinta.

Until next week, keep rolling the rock!
