Happy Labor Day!

While much of the country was getting their fill of college football, we were busy helping raise funds for the Wounded Warriors Foundation. With a simple $1.00 donation from each golfer, we raised over $100 for this worthy foundation. This national day of support was started through a PGA Golf Professional who saw action in Iraq. For more information on how much money was raised on Saturday nation-wide, click here.

Despite the hot and humid temperatures, we started the month of September with a higher-than-budgeted number of green fee rounds, and so we thank those who supported us over the weekend!

To make your golfing dollar go further this month, we are offering our Golf September special. Pay $99 and play unlimited golf through September the 20th! Jump on the chance to play Trilogy for less than a Benjamin!

There has been a change to our Maintenance Schedule for the upcoming fall season. At the time of this Blog, the proposed schedule shows us shutting down September 21st and reopening somewhere between October 12th and October 18th. We will keep you posted weekly of the progress of the overseed process. Look to the website for weekly updates on the process.

On the Anthony Kim watch, Anthony missed the cut at the Deutsche Bank Championship, the second leg of the PGA Playoff Format. That left Anthony in 39th on the FedEx Cup Standings. He will advance to the BMW Championship at Cog Hill on Thursday. Cog Hill, former site of the Western Open, is just outside of Chicago. Personal note here, my son Paull will be caddying for Anthony this week. We will have our eyes glued to the television and on the internet. Anthony will need a good week to move into the Top 30 and be able to play in the final event, the Tour Championship at Eastlake Country Club in Atlanta.

This week, our Spotlight Special is our $39.00 SunDog Sunglass special and Lunch Special. Tee times must be after 9:00 to get this special.

Ole’! We had a great Friday night dinner at Azul over the weekend. Chef Roy and his staff played to a full hour, and the authentic 4-course meal was met with rave reviews!! It was an all-hands-on-deck night. Way to go, team!! Special guest of the evening was newly hired Food and Beverage Manager Della Lemon. The staff showed her their true potential on Friday night. We are excited to have her on board to provide the patrons of Azul nights like Friday every time!

Reserve your table now for our upcoming Prime Rib Dinner on September 14th, 2007.
Special Note: Grizzlies and Ducks both win. Rumor has it Michigan is refusing to book Montana for a home game after what happened over the weekend; they can’t get out of their game with the Ducks next week!

Until next week keep rolling that rock!

Bob - Great post! I read your blog each week and enjoy your updates. It looks like Montana would have no problem with Michigan based on what has happened the last couple of weeks.

I like how you're able to work other subjects beyond golf into your blog and then bring it back to golf.

Hopefully I can come out to La Quinta this fall to see the golf course and get 18 holes in with you.

Thank you,

Marc
