Wow, what a closing weekend! We had 164, 187, and 167 players respectively on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That is an all-time record for our closing weekend before overseeding!

Last Friday was the first-ever Hit and Giggle event here at Trilogy La Quinta. We had over 40 participants play in this modified scramble. Golf Professional Nick Mitchell hit drives on the 3rd hole for people to use. General Manager Brandon O’Neill was the designated putter on the fourth hole. We had drink stations on holes three, five, and nine. Mark Harbedian, Tyler Garrigus, and Rick Alexander were instrumental in getting the event going. Leah Stewart, Roy Luna, and Della Lemons did a great job having their staff involved in this great event and providing the food and drinks for the event. Fun was had by all, which included me videotaping the event. I was fortunate to see Mrs. Kassen hole out an 88 yard shot for an eagle on the third hole. From our vantage point it looked like it was going to be close, but the flag stick was on the lower back shelf so you couldn’t see the ball. Once we got to the green we saw Mr. Gagnon’s 15 feet short of the hole and another ball 20 fee long of the hole. Mr. Kassen looked at it and said that it was his ball. Everyone was wondering what happened to Mrs. Kassen’s ball. I suggested looking in the hole. To Mr. Gagnon’s delight he found Mrs. Kassen’s ball at the bottom of the cup.

All information on the Hybrid Pass is on the web! You can find anything you need to answer your questions concerning the 2008 Hybrid Pass and Coupon Program. It provides the homeowners with great access to the golf course, with one of the most competitive rates in the Coachella Valley. There are very few golf courses that offer a better conditioned golf course or more professional team members.

We look forward for you to review the program in more detail.

Lots of happy campers here at Trilogy with our football teams having some success. Grizzlies and Ducks continue to dominate, although Brandon was downing a lot of Pepto Bismal until the third quarter, as the Stanford Cardinals gave his Ducks a Scare. Nick’s Raiders finally broke their losing streak thanks to a blocked field goal at the end. I myself was on the phone gloating to my friends who are diehard Bears fans - the same fans who put a "44-0" Sports Illustrated Cover from the 1986 season in my work space. It looks like it will be a fun year being a Cowboys fan. Being a fan since 1971 (yes, I know I am dating myself), I have seen the lows of missed Super Bowl opportunities and highs of 5 Super Bowl wins.

Two more Blogs until we reopen, and I will be chaulk full of information over the next couple of weeks.

Until next week keep rolling that rock!
