We are trying to finish the month strong, so look for some great specials on our website. Beat the heat! You will not be able to pass these deals up!

Book a tee time and look for specials that include free golf balls, free SunDog Sunglasses, Free Lunches, and more. Check out Trilogygolfclub.com to find the special that best fits you.

Christmas in July?
Nick Mitchell, 1st Assistant Professional, and his staff are putting together some of the best deals of the year. Some of our inventory is up to 70% off. This is a great time to stock up for Christmas. You may never see these prices this low again.

“Never give up never give in!”
Jimmy Valvano made it famous, and Padraig Harrington played it out yesterday at the British Open. What a great final round, with all the twists and turns your stomach could handle. Just when you thought nothing could top the results of the 1999 British Open, yesterday had it all.

Concerning the Azul Restaurant at Trilogy, keep your calendars open for the following dates: August 3rd will be our Prime Rib Night, August 31st will be our Mexican Fiesta. Book early because seating will be limited.

Wet your whistle while you play! $1.00 beers and $1.00 waters while you are out on the golf course. Poweraid and Diet Coke specials coming soon, ask the refreshment golf car hostess for details.

On the Anthony Kim Watch, a strong weekend helped Anthony finish 37th at the US Bank Championship in Milwaukee. Anthony’s 69 on Sunday continued to keep him #1 on tour for final round scoring. He heads up to Canada for the Canadian Open next week. Anthony is currently 31st on the money list.

Until next week keep rolling that rock!

The good news and the bad news about this time of year is that is still very hot, but the season is at least halfway thru, and the great rates on a championship golf course continue to be fantastic. The greens are on the mend after the transition from Rye to Bermuda. The extreme temps over the 4th of July week finally tested the Rye grass. We will be adding some fertilizer and topdressing to help keep the greens in smooth condition.

We have some great offers this week that you can take advantage of... We continue to offer the $1.00 Bud products in the Azul Restaurant.

Your future’s so bright you gotta wear shades! Our $49.00 golf special includes a pair of SunDog Sunglasses and Lunch!

Our "after 10am" special of $29.00 is blowing the competition away. Another great deal on a great golf course. This special has been such a success we are going to continue it for the remainder of July. Call the golf shop for more details or as always, check our our website.

The One Man Scramble was held on Sunday the 15th of July. The Winners in each flight included:

Mens Division
Jerry Wilson of Beaumont shot 69.
Jim Sites of Chino took second with a 73.

In the second division, Brad Euroquhart of Fallbrook fired a 64 to win with Tom Brewster posting a 76 for second place. In the Mens 55 and over division Jim Martin of La Quinta (and a Trilogy Community Member) carded a 74 for the victory. Players will advance to the Major Championship at PGA West Resort (Nicklaus Course) on September 10, 2007. Regardless of the high humidity and heat the players had a great time.

On the Anthony Kim watch, a suspect putter cost Anthony a chance to play on the weekend. Anthony finished one shot off the cut number. According to eyewitness Paull Veroulis, Anthony had 5 putts inside 10 feet that didn’t drop the second day. A couple days off to take in some Cub/Giants games. Anthony will be the guest of his close friend Allstar First Baseman Derek Lee. After taking in the sites of Chicago Anthony and Paull will head up to Milwauke where Anthony will be participating in the tour event there.

Until next week keep rolling that rock!

Summertime

Well the dog days of summer have hit the valley! Lower temps than last week but the humidity is up. That's the bad news, now for the GOOD news: the golf course still is in great shape, and there is lots of room for those who love the game.

We have some great offers this week that you can take advantage of...

We continue to offer the $1.00 Bud products in the Azul Restaurant. The golf shop specials this week include a dozen balls with the purchase of any pair of golf shoes (for shoes in stock). Our Shirt and Hat Special will continue this week; buy any shirt for $59.00 and we will throw in a Trilogy Logo hat.

Your future’s so bright, you gotta wear shades! This $49.00 golf special includes a pair of SunDog Sunglasses! Call the golf shop for more details, or as always check out our website.

The One Man Scramble will be held on Sunday, the 15th of July. Tee Times are between 7:30am and 8:30am. There are 2 different age groups with 5 different flights in each age group. Winner from each flight will advance to the State Finals held at PGA Resort in September. The format is one mulligan on par 3’s, two mulligans on par 4’s and 3 mulligans on par 5’s. The entry fee is $30.00 plus a $30 green fee. Entry Fee includes a free Nike Golf Shirt that will be sent to you after the event. There are still spots available, so don’t miss out.

On the Anthony Kim watch, another cut made, and a tie for 25th. Just added a cool $45,000 to the pocket book.

Overheard in the locker room at Colonial Golf Club during the PGA Tour event this past week:
AK: “What are you writing down?”
JK: "I am writing, 'stay focused on every shot and go through the routine!'”
AK: "Why in the world do you have to write that down?"

Some tour players, like the amateurs, forget to just play the game!

Until next week keep rolling that rock!

From Santa Barbara, California...

As I write this week’s Blog, I find myself in the coastal town of Santa Barbara, California. I am here as a Golf Instructor for a Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It is like a busman’s holiday. It will be strange to be out of the triple digit temperatures. I actually had to find a couple of pullovers for the cooler nights.

Well let’s drift back to Trilogy and get you up to date on the activities. The upcoming One Man Scramble is starting to fill up fast, thanks to those who have already signed up! For those who are sitting on the fence, the time is now to sign up before we close the entries. We have two different age divisions and 5 different handicap flights in each age group. Winners of each division will advance to the State Championship at PGA West in October.

This July we are really rolling out some value added green fee programs. Please review our webpage for specials and also be aware of our email specials that will be coming out. Anyone who drops off their new email address will be in a drawing for a 10-round green fee coupon. This program will roll out July 9th, 2007.

Check into our Peak Green Fee specials while our SunDog sunglass supply lasts. Purchase a Peak round green fee and we will throw in a pair of sunglasses, free.

With the temperatures rising we have a great number of midday and afternoon tee times. Check out our “Supersize Your Round Promotion;” for an additional $10.00 to your green fee, you can play all day.

This weekend we are offering you an all-weekend rate of $99.00. You can play as much golf as you want on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Additional rounds are based on space availability.

Azul Restaurant at Trilogy said good bye to Isaias Briones, our F&B Director since January. Isaias’s heart compelled him to get back in the Kitchen to fill his creative desires as a Chef. He will spend the summer being a hired gun to some major events in the San Diego area. We wish him the best of luck. You would be hard pressed to find a better and more creative Chef. Speaking of Chefs, we will continue to have the services of Chef Roy “El Gato Grande” Luna. For those of you who are not bilingual, it means "Big Cat"... a nickname I gave him on his arrival in October. Roy will continue to roll out a great menu, with daily lunch specials.

Resumes are being reviewed for the Head Golf Professional position as well as the Food and Beverage Director. Both positions will be filled by the middle of September. Brandon has reviewed and interviewed quite a few candidates. If you or someone you know is interested, please feel free to contact us.

Until next week, keep rolling that rock!
