If you didn’t notice, I missed out on last week’s blog. I will bring you up today. First, I have to wipe the sweat off my brow, no not because I type so fast, but because of the heat and humidity in my office. Storms rolling up from Mexico combined with the Dog Days of Summer has made it as hot and muggy as anyone can remember! Second, we are doing our prep work to roll out the new 2009 Annual Pass Program.
Despite the high humidity and high temperatures we had a very successful weekend. We averaged over 100 players each day.
Last Monday we had our meeting to review the 2009 Annual Pass Program. Representatives from the Men’s League Board, Ladies League Board, and the Ladies 9 hole Board met with the Bluestar Golf and Resort Management Team. The meeting was well received. We have raised the year pass fee just slightly, but have increased tee time usage for the annual pass holders on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We will have all of the information sent to the pass holders and Trilogy home owners in Mid September. All the documents will also be on the trilogygolfclub.com and mytrilogylife.com websites.
Golf Course Superintendent Scott Werline will be starting to prep the golf course for overseeding on September 17th. We will reduce the water on the golf course and start scalping the fairways that week. The tees and greens will still be in good shape, but the fairways will be a little rough. Our green fee rates will be reflective of the temporary conditions.
The first week of the PGA Tour Playoffs is finished, and all that happened was that it just got more muddled. Three-way tie for 1st with VJ Singh winning in a playoff over Kevin Sutherland and Sergio Garcia. Four more people tied for second, and another 3 or 4 tied at two shots back. Anthony Kim (who was fifth in the standing) moved down one despite being only 3 shots out. It was the biggest logjam at the top I have seen in quite some time.
Great news from Golf Digest, we just received a 4 ½ out of 5 star rating from them. We moved up ½ point from last year. My hat goes off to all the employees who helped us win this award. Speaking of awards, we are still in first place on the Best of The Best contest put on by PalmSpringslife.com.
To celebrate our award from Golf Digest we are offering a 2 fo1 rate that includes a sleeve of Precept Laddie Golf Balls for each player. You can check out our website for more on the special.
I will be rolling out our specials for September on Thursday! Look for some great deals!

Until next week, keep rolling the rock!
