Oh the thrill of taking down the ropes and getting golf cars on the fairways! As of last Friday, we are employing the 90 degree rule with the golf cars.

We still continue to be at capacity in rounds each day. On Saturday we finished with 227 players! Thanks for all those who have come out to enjoy the course.

The First Annual Couples Club Championship is slated for Sunday, November 4th. Pairing will be finalized on Friday, November 2nd. We will get the Shotgun off between 11:45am and 12:00pm noon. The event fee is $60.00 per couple, which includes team prizes, special hole prizes, and dinner to follow.

This coming Friday, November 2nd we will have a Nike Equipment Demo Day. The time is slated for 9:00am to 2:00pm. Meet with representatives from Nike and demo their newest products on the market.

We have some great specials being offered for early morning play or twilight. Always check us out at http://www.trilogygolfclub.com/laquinta for our weekly specials.

Sales of the 2008 Hybrid Pass continue, with the added bonus of a $750.00 value packet for people who purchase any 50 round coupon program. There have been some discussions around modifications to the Hybrid Pass. Nothing has been finalized. I would suggest asking us before talking to anyone else. Many people have come to the counter with incorrect information concerning restrictions on the pass. Talk to us and we will keep everything clear.

I said it last week, but I will continue to make it a point that golf professional Nick Mitchell and his golf professional staff continue to bring some of the best clothing the golf market has to offer. Don’t be the last person on your block to get the new Trilogy Golf Club logo merchandise!

For all you football fanatics, the Grizzlies and Ducks continue to roll. Grizzlies won a hard fought game over Northern Arizona 21-16 in Flagstaff, always a tough place. With the win they almost assured themselves another Big Sky Championship. It was absolutely humorous to see General Manager Brandon O’Neill in and out of the golf shop on Saturday as his Ducks were battling USC. Brandon couldn’t sit still until the final gun. The Ducks' victory knocked the Trojans out of the BCS for the first time in years. The win sets up a Pac-10 Showdown between the once beaten Ducks and the undefeated Sun Devils of Arizona State. The winner is in position for a possible national championship bid, or at least a BCS bid. Brandon is already pacing on Monday for this upcoming weekend.

For any Oklahoma Sooner fans out there, I will be heading to Norman on Thursday November 8th to see my son Paull and watch the Sooners take on the Bears of Baylor.
My first trip to Oklahoma, should be fun!

Until next week, keep rolling that rock!

Like lilies on the pond, the grass is increasing in density everyday. The golf course is coming along nicely. We look to be back on the fairways with the golf cars by this Thursday, October 25th, 2007.

We have a busy week with some outside groups. Today we entertain a group of 24 players from Mariners Church, and the US Tourney Outing. Tuesday, Anheuser Busch is sponsoring a golf event at our facility for the T-birds Restaurants. T-Birds operate many of the Outback Steakhouses throughout the country. This event will be a 2:00pm Shotgun on the front nine for a 9 Hole event.

The 2008 Hybrid Pass and Coupon Program went on sale last Monday. We have had a great response and look forward to continued brisk sales. Remember, early purchase allows you a Coupon Packet with a value of $750.00. We continue to offer one of the best conditioned golf courses through one of the most reasonably priced programs in the desert. We offer flexibility in both price and access. The value pack incentive program will go thru December 15th 2007.

The Trilogy Community Member Appreciation night was a great success. The dance floor was hopping, the food buffet was impressive, and The Evaro Brothers continue to wow our existing community members along with all the new community members. I even heard someone say that they thought they were lip synching. What, you think we would bring you Milli Vanilli? These guys are that good!

Congratulations to the Winners of the Good Life Games yesterday. Rick Emerton, who was rumored to say the only way he was getting to Arizona was to carry Lois’s golf bag, won by finishing 4 points over his assigned quota. The Ladies division was won by Sue Sweet who finished 1 point below her quota. Sounds like the Emertons and the Sweets are going to have a great couple’s weekend thanks to Shea Homes. Congratulations to both couples, and thanks to everyone else who participated.

The First Annual Couples Club Championship is slated for Sunday, November 4th. You can sign up in the golf shop. Registration is still open. We will cap the group at 30 couples. Sign up before it’s too late!

Feedback from the Azul Restaurant has been fantastic. Food and Beverage Manager Della Lemons and Executive Chef Roy Luna have their staff well trained and ready to serve you. Friday night's dinner was sold out. With the food we are offering and the service standard that we have set, that will be the norm. My suggestion is to always make your reservations early!

The next dinner night at Azul Restaurant is this Friday, October 26th, 2007. It's a Pasta Night and it will run from 6pm to 8pm. Dinner will be $15.95 plus tax and tip. Dinner will include Caesar Salad with bread Sticks, with the choice of Pasta Puttanesca with chicken, Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp, or Spinach Ravioli with Pesto Cream Sauce. Dessert will be Trio of Profiteroles.

The golf course continues to be at almost full capacity. We continue of offer some great specials on our website - trilogygolfclub.com/laquinta. Because we are one of the few golf courses open right now I suggest you make your golfing plans early.

On the retail side, the golf shop is getting new inventory in every day. Come down and get yourself dressed in the newest materials and brightest colors the industry has to offer.

For all you football fanatics, the Grizzlies and Ducks continue to dominate. Grizzlies roll to a 52-7 victory over the Northern Colorado Bears. The Ducks also rolled to a 55-34 win over the Washington Huskies. After the 58 points that the Ducks rolled up last week you'd think they were playing basketball!

Until next week keep rolling that rock!

Back From Overseeding!

The wait is over... we are officially open for business again! Great weather and a well scripted maintenance program allowed for a great overseed transition. Each day we are getting increased overage on the fairways, and we hope to soon move the blades down on the mowers to get better speeds. Please bear with the transition. We reopened in less than 17 days, in a valley where many facilities are shut down for 35 to 60 days!

Today we officially put the 2008 Hybrid Pass and Coupon Program on sale. There has been much discussion around the program. The bottom line is that we continue to offer one of the best conditioned golf courses with the most reasonably priced programs. We offer flexibility in price and access. Beginning today thru December 15th if you purchase the Hybrid Pass Program you will receive the Trilogy Value Pack worth over $750.00.

We look forward for you to review the program in more detail.

We'll have free food and drink specials from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. In the golf shop we will be offering our annual "blow out the golf shop" sale. We will have all the discounted times set up outside in front of the golf shop. Inside the shop we have rolled out all the new fall merchandise. Be the best dressed on your block this fall.

You can sign up online at www.trilogygoodlifegames.com. Entry Fee is $35.00 for Pass-holders and $55.00 for non Pass-holders.

The First Annual Couples Club Championship is slated for Sunday, November 3rd. You can sign up in the golf shop. I met with organizers Tom Sweet and Lois Mauser. Sign up before it’s too late!

Feedback from the Azul Restaurant has been fantastic. Food and Beverage Manager Della Lemons and Executive Chef Roy Luna have their staff well trained and ready to serve you.

Another great weekend for the #1 Ranked Montana Grizzlies, a hard fought game from the Hornets of Sacramento State ended with a 17-3 victory. The fighting Ducks of Oregon made quick work of the hapless Washington State Cougars. Brandon was relaxed and pleased with their performance, who wouldn’t when your team scores 58 points.

Until next week keep rolling that rock!
